Jenn and I watched "Akeelah and the Bee" tonight.
Who knew that spelling words could be so much fun. Check out this quote, it is so true! In a world that tells us to fear alomost everything, what we really fear is what we may become when we set our minds to it. As God's creation we truly shine when we embrace the image of our creator within us and follow God's will of divine love.
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn't serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people will not feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not in just some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically
liberates others."

great qoute and truth ? does this mean i have to get that sex change and become a ballerina though?
Hi, Anonymous
Yeah i like the quote as well, however i wouldnt recomend the sex change or the vocation. :-) I am learning more and more each day how much our attitudes affect our lives and can either energize our passion for life or drain it. With the comming of my new baby boy i have a new found source that has given me so much joy and peace. He changes the way i live each day now. We have so much potential in us if we would only recognize that and act on it. I think the people that we admire, our heros, the saints, those we look up to are all just people who have learned who they are and who God has called them to be and acted on it. I pray that i will be able to do the same.
Peace of Christ
