Reflection on the Psalms (Psalm 19)

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;

night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;

no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,

their words to the ends of the world.

The law of the Lord is perfect,
refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,
making wise the simple.
The precepts of the Lord are right,
giving joy to the heart.

The commands of the Lord are radiant,
giving light to the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is pure,

enduring forever.

The decrees of the Lord are firm,

and all of them are righteous.

I have always wondered how someone could look at creation and still deny the existence of God!  Even when the bedrock of my faith has been shaken to its core and i have doubted God, I have always been able to observe His creation and remember that He created all that is.  From the smallest organism to the vastness of the universe.  All of creation proclaims the glory of who God is and how great He is.  His creation pours forth speech without ever uttering a word.  Its simple existence proclaims the splendor of God.  Who can run from what God has created?  Who can close their eyes and choose to be blind to what is around them?

Just as His creation is marvelous so to are his ways.  His desire for our lives is a blessing thats a refreshment.  Its like a cool drink on one of these super hot summer days!  In the end all of our wisdom is made simple.  The more you know in life the more you realize how much you don't really know after all.  What a paradox.  God desires for our eyes to be opened to these simple truths.
